Due to the redevelopment of Victoria Station and surrounding area, works will be directly above the Western Deep Sewer some 30m below the surface.

Solution: The concrete wedge block sewer required strengthening with stainless steel straps at every one of the 230 segments at 600mm centres in the zone of influence.

A wriggle survey was carried out pre-design and post works. A monitoring scheme was installed prior to works using total station, precise level and extensometer.
