A new overflow structure is to be constructed across a common embankment between Walthamstow No.3 and No.5 Reservoirs.

Silt and bed levels were required on a 2 m x 2 m grid along the shoreline across the outlet from the proposed structure.

Solution

All survey level data related to the gauge board located on the outside of the valve shaft located in the south eastern corner of Reservoir No.5.

The gauge board depicts the Top Water Level.

GPS and Total station techniques were used to set out the grid, record levels and tie into the gauge board.
